Phase one of $10M housing developments gets OK from prominent municipality

FAIRBORN, Ohio (Dayton Business Journal) — The first phase of a sizable housing development in the Dayton region gained final approval this week. The roughly $10-million project, as a whole, plans to bring over a hundred residential lots to a prominent municipality.

Oakes Tree Development is cleared to start phase one of a housing development that will bring over 130 residential lots to Fairborn after the city on Monday approved the plan. The first phase, one of three, will add nearly 50 homes on 14 vacant acres off Armstrong Road.

Fairborn officials last year approved the entire development, coined the “Hillside Meadows” — which Lance Oakes, owner of Oakes Tree Development, estimated to be worth $8 to $10 million. It encompasses 40 acres at 1838 Armstrong Road, according to city documents.
